*Digital Photo Details: If you order the digital photo products, we will email your photos to you within a few business days. If you need them sooner, send us an email. Sometimes we use a service called "SendThisFile.com" that will email you a link to download your photos.
Digital photo sizing can be a bit confusing, so if you have questions or concerns about your file, feel free to contact us. But first, let's see if we can explain.
1. Our Digital 4"x6" file: 720x480 pixels at 300 dpi -while you may notice that if you open this file in Photoshop, it is smaller than 4"x6", the resolution (300 dpi) makes it printable with perfect quality at 4"x6" (actually a little higher). 2. Our Digital 8"x12" file: 2160x1440 pixels at 300 dpi -while you may notice that if you open this file in Photoshop, it is smaller than 8"x12", the resolution (300 dpi) makes it printable with perfect quality at 8"x12" (actually a little higher). 3. Our Full Res file: approximately 3900x2600 pixels at 300 dpi -printable larger than 20"x30" (Not for sale).
How can you use this file?
Please understand that unless you have our written consent, these digital images are for your personal use only.
You may make as many prints as you like for your crew, friends and family, and/or share the digital files with them.
As with all professional photographers, we charge a higher price for public use of photos. This is how we pay the bills. Please respect this and do not use the images for public purposes.
If you would like to use an image on your (non commercial) website, please contact us for permission. We will most likely grant permission, but require photo credit and a link to PhotoBoat.com.
* Cropped Photo Details: Raw images right out of most cameras, including ours, are in a proportion of 2x3 which is the same as 8x12. So for instance, when we make an 8x10 we have to crop off two inches. But for instance with an 8x10 the crop is not always exactly two inches on one side. We may take one inch of each side depending on the photo.
